Unforgettable 4-day Sahara adventure: mountains, kasbahs, nomadic camps & golden dunes
Full description
Embark on an extraordinary journey into the heart of Morocco's most enchanting landscapes with 'The Call of the Sahara'—a transformative adventure that will forever change how you see the desert. This carefully curated four-day expedition takes you far beyond the ordinary, beginning in the vibrant medinas of Marrakech and culminating beneath a canopy of countless stars in the golden embrace of the Sahara.
Your adventure begins with a breathtaking traverse through the High Atlas Mountains, where ancient Berber villages cling to dramatic peaks at 2,260 metres. You'll discover the awe-inspiring UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a fortress of ochre-coloured clay that seems to rise organically from the earth itself. Continuing southward through the legendary Draa Valley—stretching over 200 kilometres—you'll witness landscapes of such haunting beauty that they've captured the imaginations of explorers and filmmakers for generations.
As civilisation gives way to wilderness at M'hamid, you'll experience the authentic nomadic life that has endured for centuries. Sleep under traditional Berber tents, wake to the crackling of a campfire beneath an infinite expanse of stars, and feel the profound connection between earth and sky that only the Sahara can provide. On Day 3, saddle up for an unforgettable camel ride into the heart of the dunes, where you'll pause for traditional Berber tea at a sacred oasis before arriving at the magnificent Chegaga dunes—the region's most spectacular sand formations, stretching across 40 kilometres of pure golden majesty.
Experience sunrise from your desert camp—a moment of pure magic as the sun paints the dunes in shades of amber and rose—before your final journey across the legendary Paris-Dakar route, crossing the otherworldly dry lake of Iriqui. Every meal is an authentic taste of Moroccan hospitality, every moment an opportunity to connect with the rich culture and timeless landscapes that define this remarkable corner of our world.
This is more than a tour; it's a pilgrimage to the soul of Morocco. Are you ready to answer the call?
